The Saint-Eynard fort

The Saint-Eynard fort, also called fort Seras, is located in the Chartreuse mountains, is about
4350 ft high (1325m) and is one of the seven forts that surround Grenoble. From there you
will have a beautiful view on the Grésivaudan valley as well as on the city of Grenoble.
The fort is open every day from 11am to 6pm, except on Mondays. You can access it by car,
however, if you wish to hike, you have different ways to get there. From la Pillonnière, it will
take you about one hour to walk there (elevation 1312 ft or 400m), and from the Col de Vence
about two hours (elevation 2254 ft or 687 mètres).
It takes about half an hour ride to access the fort by car from Grenoble, the easiest is to go up
through Corenc and col de Vence.
